Can a message's body be split and imported into separate fields?

I'm afraid that presently, there's no way to configure Mail to FileMaker Importer to break apart the body of a message and import it into separate fields. Since every user would potentially have different requirements for this (i.e. different field names, a different number of fields, different delimiter characters, etc.), there's not a generic way to include this functionality. That said, I know that people would like this, so I will keep it in mind and see what I can come up with in the future.

In the meantime, here are some potential ways this could be accomplished:

* This could potentially be done by creating FileMaker calculation fields in the database to parse out the body content. Obviously, this method would require a fairly good knowledge of FileMaker.

Why not have the ability to separate html and text portions of messages?

How would you envision this working? Would the HTML version of the message be imported into one field, and the text version be imported into another field?

Correct. you could have standard names for them, such as MsgBodyHtml and MsgBodyText
