Batch convert iWork Pages to PDF

Postby pixelmac » 11.10.14 2:38 pm

Hello,

I'm looking for an Automator way to batch convert multiple pages files to pdf , instead of exporting one by one.

Sincerely

Hi, Dan.

Automator is not a robust program from repeating through multiple files, but you can use the Dispense Intems Incrementally action which is available for free. See more information here:

http://www.macosxautomation.com/automator/actions.html#dispense-disk-items

Unfortunately, while I know AppleScript can save a Pages file to PDF, I'm unsure about available actions for Pages to do this. If you find any actions, please let me know. Otherwise, calling AppleScript may be your only choice.

Hope that helps,

Thank you Ray,

So I'll take your advice and go with AppleScript...
But I can't start leaning it now, I need to batch convert many files from pages to pdf.

Can you help me with a script or an applescript tool to build such converter ?

Thanks again.

Dan,

My apologies for the delayed response. The automatic alert system for forum postings must have stopped working and I did not notice over the holidays.

Please contact me off-list at support(at)automatedworkflows.com.
