SEYBOLD SEMINARS APPLESCRIPT SESSION ANNOUNCED
AppleScript Gems in Mac OS X

SAN FRANCISCO, California - August 24th, 2003 - An "AppleScript Gems in Mac OS X" session will be held at Seybold Seminars San Francisco on Friday, September 12th from 2:15 - 3:15 PM. This session will be part of the event's "OS/X" intensive.
The Mac has always (since System 7) had AppleScript. Now, with Unix as the core of Mac OS X, there are additional options. Most pro publishing applications support AppleScript, and there are new ways to wire AppleScripts together with Unix shell scripts and other automation tools. This session covers new features of AppleScript and best practices for putting together your own automated workflows.
The "AppleScript Gems in Mac OS X" session will be moderated by Benjamin Waldie, President and CEO of Automated Workflows, LLC. Sal Soghoian, Product Manager for AppleScript at Apple Computer, will be speaking.
This year’s event is the latest edition of the 22-year-old annual gathering of ‘all things publishing.’ Reinvented for 2003, with 10, two-day conferences addressing nine industry channels – from PDF to Digital media to the future of print – Seybold Seminars reinforces its position as the premier confluence point for business, technology and creative professionals.
